Our Story

On August 21, 2019, the lives of Christopher R. Edwards II and his sister Erin Victoria Edwards were taken by their mother in their home. She then took her own life.

As a means to survive this horrific, unimaginable pain the EVECE Foundation, Inc. was born.

If we knew the signs.

If we talked about it.

If we sought help.

Maybe, Chris and Erin would be here today.

Now, we are filled with urgency to connect with those who need help and we will continue to be the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. We will continue our work in honor of our beloved children, Chris and Erin.

About Us

Our mission is to “create a society that values and supports the mental well-being of all individuals”. It is with this purpose we are dedicated to changing the landscape of mental health care by delivering essential education, support and resources for adolescents and adults surviving in a world that is siloed from ‘mental healing’.

Our emphasis on compassion, resilience, and integrity suggests a holistic approach to mental health care, recognizing the importance of empathy, empowerment, and ethical standards while supporting individuals through their struggles.

By positioning ourselves as an epicenter in this field, the EVECE Foundation’s objective is to centralize services, information, and advocacy efforts, while amplifying our impact and reach. Our commitment to addressing the mental health needs of our society is essential in fostering happier, healthier, and kinder people in the world.

Accessible Mental Health Services

One of the most critical challenges we face today is equitable access to mental health services, including therapy, counseling, and psychiatric care, regardless of socio-economic status or geographical location. We are a voice joined by others working to expand mental health facilities and staffing qualified professionals to meet the needs of diverse populations.

how we become
a more CONSCIOUS society

Welcome to our community! We believe that prioritizing mental well-being is crucial for leading fulfilling and resilient lives. Our objective is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and empower individuals to take control of their own well-being. Join us in this movement to become a more conscious society by embracing these 5 principles.
